Social media critic Verydarkman led a protest in Abuja against worsening insecurity, with demonstrators chanting anti-government slogans at the Nigerian Air Force Base.
Popular social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, known as Verydarkman (VDM), on Wednesday night led a protest in Abuja over Nigeria’s worsening security situation.
According to DAILY POST, VDM, who returned from China earlier in the day, mobilised members of the Ratel Movement to the Nigerian Air Force Base in Abuja.
The protesters were seen chanting, “Tinubu must go, APC must go, bandits must go, terrorists must go,” as they marched toward the military facility.
VDM, a vocal critic of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, has repeatedly condemned the rising cases of kidnappings and killings across the country, calling for urgent government intervention.
While in China, he had described the government as incompetent and urged Nigerians to vote out the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections.
The activist had also raised concerns over alleged plans to arrest him upon arrival in Nigeria, a claim that heightened tension among his supporters.
Supporters of the Ratel Movement were earlier seen gathering at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport ahead of his return, as the protest drew attention across social media platforms.
