A Nigerian soldier has stirred controversy after alleging that powerful cabals are behind the country’s insecurity, using violence as a cover for illegal exploitation of mineral resources.
According to SaharaReporters, the unnamed soldier, in a viral video, claimed influential figures deliberately fuel conflicts in states where valuable minerals are discovered, forcing residents from their communities while illegal activities continue unnoticed.
The soldier argued that insecurity serves as a distraction, allowing criminal networks to operate while security forces focus on battling insurgents. He also alleged that these groups wield enough influence to undermine state governments and replenish terrorist ranks despite military operations.
Expressing concern for his safety, he urged Nigerians to “ask questions” if anything happens to him, insisting that the alleged cabals must be exposed and stopped.
