Tamunosoye Karibi-George has been crowned Miss World Nigeria 2026 after beating 20 other finalists at the pageant’s grand finale in Lagos. According to Premium Times, the 26-year-old beauty queen, who represented Bayelsa State and hails from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, will now fly Nigeria’s flag at the 73rd Miss World Festival in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5.
The competition, themed “Pride, Power, and Purpose,” featured contestants from across the country competing in talent, interview and eveningwear rounds.
Silverbird Group founder Ben Murray-Bruce hailed the new queen, praising her advocacy initiative, Beyond Labels, which promotes inclusion and empowerment for children with special needs.
Karibi-George succeeds Miss World Nigeria 2025, Joy Raimi.
