Minister of Works, David Umahi, has awarded a university scholarship to Obasi Victor Nnanna, the highest scorer in Ebonyi State in the 2026 UTME, according to The Sun Nigeria.
Nnanna, who scored 356, emerged top in the state after excelling at King David Gifted Academy, Abakaliki. Umahi said the gesture was to encourage academic excellence and reward hard work.
The scholarship followed the announcement of his result from the elite school founded during Umahi’s tenure as governor. The institution has produced reinforcing its reputation as a hub for gifted learners and future leaders.
