Police in Ogun State have traced a wave of rising kidnappings to a Fulani settlement allegedly being used as a hideout by criminal gangs operating across parts of the state.
According to Vanguard, security operatives uncovered intelligence linking several recent abductions to suspects believed to be sheltering within the settlement. The development comes amid growing fears over worsening insecurity in the Ogun-Ijebu axis, where residents have reported increased cases of kidnapping and violent attacks.
