Online giant Temu has been hit with a €200 million fine by the EU. The European Commission cited violations of the Digital Services Act (DSA), specifically for the sale of illegal and unsafe products like non-compliant chargers and toys. Temu reportedly “failed to diligently identify, analyse, and assess the systemic risks” of these items, leading to the substantial penalty and ongoing scrutiny.
