Twenty-one-year-old Nigerian footballer Victor Udoh, who previously played for Royal Antwerp and Southampton, has been found dead under suspicious circumstances in Abuja.
According to multiple reports, former Southampton F.C. and Royal Antwerp F.C. winger, Victor Udoh reportedly died in Abuja last night following suspected food or alcohol poisoning.

Former Southampton and Royal Antwerp forward Victor Udoh has died at the age of 21 in Abuja, Nigeria, with reports describing the tragic situation as occurring “under suspicious circumstances.” The exact cause of the young striker’s death remains unknown, and authorities have not yet confirmed further details.
Udoh had recently returned to Nigeria following a stint with Czech outfit Dynamo České Budějovice. Highly regarded as a promising talent, the Abuja-born forward initially rose through the ranks at Royal Antwerp before signing a three-and-a-half-year deal with English side Southampton in 2025, which was later dissolved by mutual consent.
Before his move to England, he had been with Belgian side Royal Antwerp, where he rose through the ranks after joining from Abuja-based Hypebuzz. He impressed at reserve level, scoring 12 goals in 21 matches, and later made 28 first-team appearances for the club.
