Tanzania has denied entry to a European Union Parliament delegation tasked with investigating alleged election violence and human rights abuses from the 2025 general elections. The government cited an ongoing internal inquiry, which concluded in April 2026, but has not set new dates for the EU visit. The mission also planned to audit EU-funded projects and meet civil groups.
