Naira strengthens to N1,357.76/$ at official market

The naira strengthened to N1,357.76 per dollar at the official market on Monday, gaining N8.46 amid steady foreign exchange supply.

The naira appreciated to N1,357.76 against the U.S. dollar at the official market on Monday, according to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria. The Nigerian currency gained N8.46 during the trading session.

The gain represents a 0.6 per cent increase compared with Friday’s closing rate of N1,366.23 per dollar. The naira has recorded steady appreciation over the past week amid sustained market activity and improved foreign exchange supply.
