President Bola Tinubu has directed the nationwide distribution of rice to Muslims and Christians observing Ramadan and Lent. The State House said the gesture is intended to support families during the fasting period and reflects the values of compassion, charity and solidarity associated with the two religious seasons.
“Under the directive, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors will deploy their grassroots network nationwide to coordinate the distribution through structures at the state, local government and ward levels… ensuring that families across the country benefit,” the statement said. Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma described the initiative as a step toward strengthening unity and supporting citizens.
