The Green Future Party has accused INEC of unfairly denying it registration ahead of the 2027 elections despite allegedly meeting all requirements.
The Green Future Party has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission of denying it registration despite allegedly meeting all stipulated requirements. The party’s Interim National Chairman, Adefolaseye Adebayo, made the allegation on Monday during an interview on Arise Television.
Adebayo said, “INEC failed to act in line with its own guidelines… Yet, after the statutory 60 days elapsed, INEC turned around to claim we did not comply.” He alleged a “political undertone” to the decision, noting that the party was verified and met all registration conditions.
