NAHCON has warned Nigerians against making Hajj payments as Saudi Arabia closes data capturing for 2026, while seeking an extension to complete pending pilgrim uploads.
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has advised intending pilgrims not to make payments for the 2026 Hajj, announcing that payment has officially closed. NAHCON disclosed that Saudi Arabia, through its Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, has also shut the data-capturing window for the exercise.
In a statement by its spokesperson, Fatima Sanda Usara, NAHCON said it had appealed for an extension to upload pending pilgrims on the Nusuk Masar platform. “The commission remains hopeful that the request will receive favourable consideration,” it added, urging the public to rely on verified channels for updates.
