NAFDAC disowns fake recruitment notice, warns Nigerians

NAFDAC has warned Nigerians to ignore a fake recruitment notice circulating online, stressing that it did not emanate from the agency and is intended to defraud the public.

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has disowned a press release circulating on social media announcing a recruitment exercise, describing it as fake. The Director General, Prof. Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye, warned the public against falling victim to fraud linked to the false information.

Adeyeye said that although NAFDAC conducts recruitment periodically, the circulating release did not originate from the agency. She cautioned that “Fake press releases are being circulated to mislead the public, often with the intent of extorting money from unsuspecting applicants,” urging Nigerians to verify updates via NAFDAC’s official platforms.
