ICE and the case of a criminal illegal alien from Nigeria

Nigerian ex-bloods gang member set for deportation after U.S. conviction

A Nigerian national, Ibrahim Tunde Ijaoba, is set to be deported from the United States after completing multiple prison sentences for a string of violent crimes. According to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Ijaoba, described as a “criminal illegal alien from Nigeria” and “former member of the Bloods — a notoriously violent street gang,” is currently being held in ICE custody pending his removal. Ijaoba reportedly entered the country illegally and built an extensive criminal record that includes convictions for aggravated assault on a police officer with a firearm, armed robbery, assault, obstruction, drug sales, and escaping police custody.

U.S. authorities said Ijaoba has a final removal order and will be returned to Nigeria once all administrative processes are completed. ICE records show that his crimes posed a “significant public safety threat,” prompting his detention and expedited removal proceedings. “He has a final removal order and awaits deportation in ICE custody,” the agency confirmed on Monday.
