A Kogi-based APC chieftain, Chief Ben Adaji, urged President Bola Tinubu to treat Nigerians opposing US military strikes on terror targets as terrorists and enemies of the state. He reacted to criticism from Islamic clerics after US forces hit suspected terrorist locations in the North-West on Thursday. Adaji described the backlash as “hypocrisy” or “complicity” in long-running terror attacks.
Adaji, a former House of Representatives candidate, said insecurity had caused “untold hardship and huge loses,” adding that critics of the strikes should be treated as terrorists. He stated, “For me, I want to urge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to treat anyone who has come out to condemn the US military action as a terrorists.”
He also called for sustained US intervention and public prosecution of terror supporters. “The action of terrorists against the people of Nigeria is an affront against the sovereignty of this country,” he said, insisting there was “no need to dialogue” with terrorists and urging Nigerian security agencies to cooperate with genuine international support.
