At the 2025 TikTok Awards Sub-Saharan Africa held December 6 in Johannesburg under the theme “New Era, New Icons,” Nigerian creators were the evening’s biggest winners.
Nigeria claimed six of the ten major awards, including Shallipopi for Artist of the Year, Brian Nwana as Storyteller of the Year and Raja’atu Muhammed Ibrahim as Creator of the Year.
