NEPZA has requested that the Nigerian federal government provide a 10-year tax exemption for operators within Special Economic Zones (SEZ). Managing Director Olufemi Ogunyemi made this appeal due to concerns over new tax laws hindering foreign direct investment.
Ogunyemi emphasized that this “sunset period” would ensure stability and competitiveness, vital for Nigeria’s industrialization. Trade Minister Jumoke Oduwole supported reforms, noting they would create a robust environment for economic growth.
