The Edo State government has procured eight bulletproof patrol trucks to enhance security operations across its three senatorial districts, as announced by Blessing Agbebaku, Speaker of the State House of Assembly. Two trucks have already arrived, with the initiative aiming to combat rising criminal activities.
During a security meeting in Benin, Agbebaku urged residents to support security agencies with timely information. Marie Oligbi-Edeko, Chairperson of the House Committee on Security, emphasized improved inter-agency synergy and the development of new laws to address emerging threats like kidnappings.
