Shamsuddeen Basko, the lawmaker for Talata Mafara North constituency in the Zamfara State House of Assembly, has officially defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Basko stated his defection was for “the betterments of all the people of the constituency I represent,” expressing gratitude for his time in the APC. This shift highlights ongoing political turbulence in Zamfara, now governed by the PDP.
