Sokoto State has approved N1.8 billion for healthcare and infrastructure, including HIV/AIDS kits, drugs, and renovating six hospitals. Health Commissioner Faruk Wurno confirmed N100.6 million targets HIV testing and treatment. Each hospital project, costing N700 million, will be completed in six months, with initial funds already released.
Additional approvals include N72.6 million for UBE digital devices, N113.1 million for educational materials, and N337.3 million for drainage construction in Gawon Nama and Wamakko. The State Executive Council also endorsed the 2026–2028 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework.
