Gunmen kidnap two Chinese workers at Kwara construction site

Two Chinese nationals working on the Bode Saadu/Kaiama/Kosubosu road project in Kwara State were abducted by masked gunmen on December 1st Security sources told SaharaReporters that the attackers invaded the BUA construction site between 11pm and 4am, firing shots for hours before seizing the workers. “The gunmen fired sporadic gunshots for about 2 to 3 hours before abducting two Chinese Nationals… As at today, there is no information from the gunmen,” a source said.

The incident comes amid multiple coordinated attacks across Kwara, including the abduction of six farmers in Lata community and the theft of a motorcycle during another farm raid. Residents say terrorists now operate freely, forcing communities to flee and crippling agricultural activities. The latest kidnapping follows a similar assault in Eruku, where bandits abducted a farmer days after 38 kidnapped worshippers were released.
