Wale Oriade, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, was abducted by armed men in Ibadan on Wednesday evening. The incident unfolded at his office in the PJ Square Shopping Complex, Elewure, where two attackers in a blue Micra vehicle forcibly seized him. As of press time, no ransom demand has been made.
The Oyo State APC chapter confirmed the incident, calling for immediate Nigeria Police Force intervention and a swift, intelligence-driven rescue. Former Senate Leader Teslim Folarin condemned the “shocking and unacceptable” kidnapping, urging security agencies to ensure Oriade’s prompt and safe release.
