He raised this during a meeting with Nigeria Labour Congress President Joe Ajaero on November 21, 2025, questioning the authorization amid prior intelligence warnings from the Department of State Services (DSS).
Troops had been deployed after an emergency security council meeting but left around 3:00 a.m., with the attack striking by 3:45 a.m., killing the vice principal.
