WWE champion Naomi steps away after pregnancy announcement

WWE star Naomi has announced her pregnancy, vacated her Women’s World Championship, and promised fans a comeback after childbirth.

WWE superstar Naomi, real name Trinity Fatu, has announced she is pregnant with her first child and will relinquish her Women’s World Championship title. The revelation came during Monday Night Raw on August 18, when Naomi and her husband, fellow wrestler Jimmy Uso, shared the news in a video segment aired from Stephanie McMahon’s podcast What’s Your Story?

“We’re pregnant, I mean, there is a baby on board!” Jimmy Uso declared, while Naomi added tearfully, “I’m pregnant and I’m having a baby.”

The Philadelphia crowd erupted as Naomi placed her championship belt in the ring, confirming she would vacate it. “I’m gonna give you nine months and change,” she told fans. “Even if I come back breastfeeding with my baby in my arms, I’m coming back to pick up where I left off.”

Naomi revealed she learned of her pregnancy on August 10, describing it as a miracle after years of fertility struggles. Fellow wrestlers, including Bayley and Jade Cargill, congratulated her, with fans celebrating her vow to return.
