Israel bombs Iranian nuclear sites as Iran strikes Israeli hospital

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards claimed they targeted military intelligence sites near the hospital, a claim Israel rejected.

TEL AVIV/TEHRAN —Israel bombed key Iranian nuclear sites on Thursday as Iran retaliated with missile strikes that damaged a hospital in Beersheba, killing civilians and wounding dozens.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tehran’s “tyrants” would pay the “full price” for attacking the Soroka medical centre, while Defence Minister Israel Katz vowed intensified strikes targeting Tehran’s strategic infrastructure.

The Israeli military confirmed strikes on Iran’s Natanz and Isfahan nuclear facilities. A planned strike on Bushehr was later walked back due to fears of nuclear fallout.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards claimed they targeted military intelligence sites near the hospital, a claim Israel rejected. “No one is immune,” Netanyahu said.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Parliament is mulling closing the Strait of Hormuz, escalating fears of global oil disruption.

The UN nuclear watchdog confirmed damage to Iran’s Khondab heavy-water reactor but said no radioactive material was present.

With casualties mounting on both sides and civilians fleeing major cities, analysts warn the conflict shows no signs of abating.
