Air Peace condemns Oshiomhole’s ‘unruly conduct’ at Lagos airport

Video footage showed the visibly angry senator shouting: “I am not here for privilege, give me my ticket or give me my cash.

LAGOS — Air Peace has publicly condemned what it described as “unruly conduct” by Senator Adams Oshiomhole after the former Edo governor missed a 6:30 a.m. Abuja-bound flight at Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 1 on Wednesday.

According to the airline, boarding had closed in line with its on-time policy when Oshiomhole arrived late and was denied boarding. He allegedly became aggressive, assaulted staff, and blocked the terminal entrance.

“Upon being informed of the missed flight, the politician resorted to violence, physically assaulting our staff and forcefully barricading the terminal’s entrance,” the airline stated.

Video footage showed the visibly angry senator shouting: “I am not here for privilege, give me my ticket or give me my cash.”

Eyewitnesses reported that Oshiomhole jumped on a conveyor belt and tried to block seats across the departure gate.

Air Peace reaffirmed its zero-tolerance for violence and has vowed to report the incident to the Nigerian Senate, NCAA, and DSS.

Oshiomhole has yet to respond publicly.
