Commissioner of Police Tijani Fatai said the uniforms were allegedly headed from Lagos to the South-East. Operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, acting on intelligence, intercepted the truck and arrested four suspects.

Investigations are ongoing to track down whoever’s behind the shipment and figure out what the items were meant for. Suspected illicit drugs were also found stashed alongside the uniforms.

Channels TV reports police fear such uniforms could end up in the hands of criminal groups, and say they’re working to expose the full network.
