Tragedy struck in Osun State as a road crash in Tonkere town claimed three lives and left 20 others injured. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) confirmed the incident, attributing the cause to speeding and dangerous driving. The accident involved a Toyota Hiace bus and a Volkswagen Golf car.
The FRSC Sector Commander, Sunday Adebayo, stated that the victims comprised 23 individuals, including 11 females, nine males, and three children. While three people were deceased, 20 sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital. Adebayo emphasized the importance of cautious driving to prevent further casualties.
