Activist VeryDarkMan has alleged he’s receiving threats from some Northern influencers after blaming the region’s political leaders for insecurity and poverty, insisting his criticism wasn’t aimed at ordinary Northerners.
VeryDarkMan is sounding the alarm. The activist, born Martins Vincent Otse, says some Northern influencers are “asking for his head” after he called out political leaders for insecurity, poverty and limited opportunities in the North, Daily Post Nigeria reports.
In a video on his page, VDM clarified he wasn’t dragging ordinary Northerners — whom he praised as hardworking and honest — but the politicians failing them. He also slammed empowerment programmes he says barely scratch the surface of poverty.
His message to critics? Redirect that anger at the leaders, not him.
