NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Wednesday, amid renewed political consultations ahead of the 2027 general election, days after Atiku Abubakar accused Obasanjo of fabricating allegations against him.

According to The Cable. Esther Umoh, Obi’s campaign photographer, shared photos of the two politicians on X, but did not disclose where they met or the details of their discussion.
“Earlier today, the presidential candidate of the NDC, Peter Obi, met with former president Olusegun Obasanjo,” Umoh wrote.
The meeting comes days after former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), accused Obasanjo of fabricating allegations against him to favour his kinsman ahead of the 2027 general election.
