PDP interim chairman Taminu Turaki has declared the party indestructible, insisting it will overcome its current leadership and legal challenges ahead of the 2027 elections.

Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja on Thursday, Turaki compared the party’s present struggles to past crises, including the one resolved under the Ahmed Makarfi-led caretaker committee, according to a Peoples Gazette report citing the News Agency of Nigeria. He said the PDP would remain on the ballot for all elective positions in 2027.
BOT secretary Babangida Aliyu blamed some of the party’s setbacks on defecting members, while state chairmen’s forum head Tony Aziegbemi accused former members of undermining the platform that elevated them.
