Osun State’s Secretary to the Government, Teslim Igbalaye, has been released from police custody after his arrest alongside five others over alleged possession of PVCs and over N4 million.
Osun SSG Regains Freedom
Freedom at last for Osun’s SSG. Per Leadership Newspapers, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye has regained his freedom following his earlier arrest by police, alongside five others, over alleged possession of Permanent Voters Cards and more than four million Naira.
The Imole Campaign Council (TICC) spokesperson, Pelumi Olajengbesi, thanked Osun State Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Gotan and Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun for “listening to the voice of reason despite the pressure” in responding to public demand over what he called Igbalaye’s “unlawful arrest.”
Olajengbesi commended the police for standing against oppression and welcomed Igbalaye back, describing his ordeal as a sacrifice for the people of Osun State.
