UNIOSUN HOSTEL RAID

Five soldiers allegedly involved in the invasion of Osun State University students’ hostels have been arrested by military authorities, according to The Sun Nigeria.

UNIOSUN Vice-Chancellor, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye, disclosed this while addressing protesting students on campus. He said the military high command visited the university and confirmed that the personnel had been apprehended.

Adebooye alleged that the soldiers assaulted students, stole phones, power banks and cash, removed SIM cards, and damaged hostel doors and windows. He also alleged that some students were raped during the raid.

The VC said he visited about 12 or 13 affected hostels and assured students that the university and Osun State Government would pursue justice.
