List: 10 largest oil refineries in the world

India’s Jamnagar refinery leads the world’s largest facilities, with Nigeria’s Dangote refinery ranking among the global top 10.

Jamnagar Refinery Complex in India ranks as the world’s largest, processing 1.24 million barrels per day (bpd), followed by Venezuela’s Paraguana at 955,000 bpd and South Korea’s Ulsan at 840,000 bpd. Others include Yeosu, Onsan, Port Arthur, ExxonMobil Singapore, Baytown and Ras Tanura.

Africa’s largest, the Dangote Refinery in Lagos, processes 650,000 bpd. The $19 billion facility is expected to reduce fuel imports and boost regional supply, placing Nigeria among countries hosting some of the world’s biggest refining capacities.
