Gombe girl wins Qur’anic competition in Saudi Arabia

Gombe State’s own Maryam Ibrahim Dan’azumi has triumphed at the 46th King Abdulaziz International Qur’anic Competition in Saudi Arabia. Representing Nigeria, she memorized the entire Holy Qur’an, excelling in recitation, Tajweed, and interpretation.

Her victory is historic as it marks the first time females participated in the 46-year-old competition. Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Yahaya, lauded her achievement as a proud moment for the state and the nation.
