In a statement on X, Enugu Air said the Embraer regional jet experienced a “runway excursion” and that aviation authorities had been notified in line with established procedures. An assessment of the aircraft and circumstances is underway, according to Punch.
Social media videos of the aircraft off the runway had sparked initial reports of a crash landing, but the airline clarified there were no casualties. Some flight schedules may see temporary adjustments as a result.
