EKEDP Cites Vandalism, Upgrades for Festac Power Woes
Eko Electricity Distribution Plc (EKEDP) points to ongoing transmission system upgrades and persistent vandalism of underground cables as the primary causes of recent power outages affecting Festac Town and its environs.
The company noted that while national transmission improvements are a key factor, the situation is exacerbated by the high rate of cable vandalism in the Festac area, which is the highest across EKEDP’s network.
