A Federal High Court permitted an inquiry into Tunji-Ojo’s WAEC certificate but rejected a request to probe his NYSC discharge records.
The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted an activist permission to inquire into the academic qualifications of Interior Minister, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo. Justice Binta Nyako approved the ex-parte application filed by Mr. Emorioloye Owolemi, who alleged discrepancies in the minister’s Secondary School Certificate reportedly issued by WAEC.
In a separate ruling, Justice Joyce Abdulmalik declined a similar request seeking details of the minister’s NYSC discharge certificate, holding that the applicant failed to show he was acting in the public interest. Counsel Philemon Yakubu, SAN, said his client would decide the next course of action.
