Nollywood actor Emeka Ike has filed a ₦10 billion lawsuit against INEC and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s media aide over the alleged unlawful disclosure of his personal voter information on social media.
Emeka Ike isn’t taking this lying down.
The Sun Nigeria reports that the Nollywood actor and politician has dragged INEC and Lere Olayinka, media aide to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, before a Federal High Court in Abuja, demanding ₦10 billion in damages over an alleged voter data leak.
Olayinka had published screenshots of Ike’s voter registration transfer from Imo State to Abuja — reportedly sourced from a restricted INEC portal — to question his eligibility for a House of Representatives seat.
Beyond the billions, Ike wants the post pulled down and a public apology published in three national newspapers for two consecutive weeks.
