A native doctor, Olorunbukunmi Taiwo, and his wife, Awolegan Omotola, have been arraigned by the EFCC for allegedly defrauding a woman of over N1 billion. The couple purportedly used the funds, promised for a DESOPADEC road construction contract, to purchase properties in Ado-Ekiti. They have pleaded not guilty to six counts of fraud and retention of proceeds of crime.
