According to a report by Sahara Reporters, a local beans seller in Oyo State unknowingly benefited from a spending spree by terrorists just days before the abduction of hundreds of pupils and teachers.
The revelation came from Senator Sharafadeen Alli, who said the woman’s daily earnings suddenly jumped from about ₦1,000 to ₦20,000. Believing her business was finally taking off, she had no idea the new customers were allegedly members of a terrorist group operating nearby.
The unusual surge in sales became one of several clues uncovered after the mass school abductions that shook the state. Authorities later discovered that the terrorists had been camped in the area and were quietly buying food and supplies before carrying out the attack.
