Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned Peter Obi that his alliance with Rabiu Kwankwaso could jeopardise his 2027 presidential ambition.
According to Nigerian Tribune, Ayodele claimed Obi had fallen into the wrong hands and alleged that Kwankwaso was pursuing personal interests rather than genuinely supporting the former Anambra governor’s political aspirations.
The cleric further alleged that Obi was ignoring divine guidance and failing to see developments around him that could hinder his presidential bid. He claimed Kwankwaso had already complicated Obi’s political calculations and predicted that his alleged plans would eventually be exposed.
Ayodele stressed that he harbours no personal dislike for Obi but believes the Labour Party figure is not yet fully prepared for the presidency.
The comments add fresh intrigue to discussions around potential political alignments ahead of the 2027 election.
