Africa can generate over $469 billion annually without increasing taxes, reports the African Development Bank (AfDB). AfDB’s Chief Economist, Prof. Kevin Urama, stated that enhanced tax administration via digitalization and stronger institutions are key. He emphasized that improved service delivery by governments is crucial for boosting voluntary tax compliance and sustainable development financing.
