A fresh security scare has hit Oyo State after the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) confirmed that suspected terrorists attacked its office in Ogbomoso.
According to reports, the attackers stormed the facility, creating panic in the area and reportedly making away with weapons during the operation. The incident has heightened concerns about the growing security challenges facing communities in the region.
As reported by Sahara Reporters, the NIS acknowledged the attack and said investigations were underway to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident. Local reports also indicate that security agencies have intensified efforts to track down those responsible.
The attack comes amid heightened security concerns in parts of Oyo State following recent incidents linked to armed groups and kidnappings. Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant while security operations continue.
