Court remands five police officers over killing of Delta musician

Five police officers have been remanded over the killing of Delta State musician Oghenemine Ogidi, popularly known as OG Millan, according to Punch Newspapers.

Appearing before the High Court in Asaba, the officers were ordered to remain in custody pending legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions, as the case was adjourned to June 15, 2026. Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu said the move marks progress, while the victim’s family complained of poor communication and lack of official updates on the investigation.

Punch Newspapers reports that the case stems from the April 26 death of the 28-year-old during a package delivery incident that sparked public outrage and ongoing calls for transparency and justice in Delta State in Nigeria today.
