The husband of an abducted school principal in Oyo State has made an emotional appeal to Governor Seyi Makinde, urging him to intensify efforts to secure the safe return of pupils, teachers and school officials still being held by kidnappers.
According to People’s Gazette, the distraught husband broke down in tears while pleading for urgent intervention as the victims’ ordeal stretches into its third week.
The appeal comes amid growing anxiety over the condition of the captives, who have repeatedly appeared in distress videos saying they are exposed to harsh weather conditions and deteriorating circumstances in captivity. Families say each passing day increases their fears for the victims’ safety.
The latest plea adds to mounting pressure on authorities to bring the prolonged abduction crisis to a safe and swift conclusion.
