UNICEF’s Enugu Field Office Chief, Juliet Chiluwe, has warned healthcare workers against diverting vital nutrition supplements designated for children aged six to 23 months. The alert was issued during a training workshop for frontline health workers in Enugu State, where high stunting rates due to malnutrition were noted. Chiluwe stressed that the supplements are free and strictly for children, with monitoring in place to ensure proper distribution.
