Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has celebrated former Rivers governor Rotimi Amaechi on his birthday, describing him as a “brother and fellow patriot.”
In a post on X, Atiku praised Amaechi’s courage, conviction and years of service to Rivers State and Nigeria, while wishing him good health and more impactful years ahead.
The birthday message comes amid controversy surrounding the ADC presidential primary, where Amaechi rejected the outcome, alleging widespread voter disenfranchisement and manipulation.
Amaechi insisted the process failed to reflect fairness and transparency, accusing the party of practising the same electoral misconduct it once criticised.
According to Vanguard , tensions continue to trail the disputed ADC exercise.
