Professor Sadiq Gombe, National Chairman of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of deliberate interference aimed at fostering a leadership crisis within the party. Speaking at a Thursday briefing, Gombe’s remarks followed reports of alleged disruptions by former chairman Shehu Musa Gabam. Gombe defended the expulsion of Gabam-aligned officials, citing misconduct and constitutional breaches, and announced the party’s resolve to proceed with its Bauchi convention.
