Shehu Sani has officially joined the 2027 Kaduna Central senatorial race after picking APC nomination forms.
Former Kaduna Central senator, Shehu Sani, has picked the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms of the All Progressives Congress to contest the Kaduna Central Senatorial seat ahead of the 2027 elections. The move confirms his return to active participation in the race within the ruling party.
Sani, a former lawmaker and rights activist, previously represented Kaduna Central in the Senate and remains a notable figure in Nigeria’s political space. His re-entry is expected to influence the dynamics of the contest, given his political experience and grassroots support base.
Party stakeholders say the development may intensify competition among aspirants seeking the APC ticket. The party has scheduled its primary elections to run from mid-May 2026, following the sale, submission, and screening of nomination forms.
